Junior Team Trials Registration Form Update
Due to a discrepancy between the Chinese and English language versions of the IWUF regulations for the 2nd World Junior Wushu Championships, the USAWKF team selection criteria for Group C were not in accordance with the official regulations. The USAWKF criteria as published on this website indicated that a Group C competitor must register in a barehand event (that is, Changquan no. 3 elementary taolu) and any weapon event. However, the IWUF regulations in Chinese indicate that a Group C competitor may compete in Changquan and one weapon or in one short weapon and one long weapon.
Therefore, no barehand event is required, but a Group C competitor who does not compete in the barehand event must compete in one short weapon and one long weapon event. The Junior Team Trials Registration Form and Junior Team Trials Team Selection Criteria have been updated to reflect this new information. We have assurances from IWUF that the English language version of the regulations on their website will be corrected shortly.
